Essential oils are in no way dangerous, but because of their high concentration, inappropriate use can lead to complications and disadvantages depending on the quantities used and the properties of each. It is therefore essential to know the basic rules and to be informed before any use. Some can be dermocaustic (cinnamon, oregano, thyme with thymol…), photosensitizing (lemon and in general citrus fruits, verbena…), allergenic or neurotoxic. It is therefore essential to know in advance and respect the instructions for use available on dedicated sites and in specialized books, as well as those given in our manuals.
In short: Essential oils are not dangerous at all as long as you follow the basic rules and information given by dedicated sites and specialized books. As for their use as in traditional medicine, the quantities and advice must be respected.
