The warmer it gets, the more it gives off a persistent, warm, spicy and amber scent.<\/p>\n<p>The Ladaniferous epithet would come from the Latin ladanum, which refers to the resin of the Ledon or Crete cistus, from the Greek ledon derived from the Lebanese &#8220;incense&#8221; and fero &#8220;I carry&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Since ancient times and for a long time, Crete has exported the gum-resin produced by the plant, labdanum. In Spain, flowers are called &#8220;tears of Christ&#8221;. Labdanum was one of the ingredients of the holy oil used for liturgical anointings. It is sometimes found under other names: Crete cistus, gum cistus, ladanum from Spain, cistus viscosus.<\/p>\n<p>It likes the arid and poor soils of the scrubland and the Mediterranean region.<\/p>\n<p>Indications :<\/p>\n<p>Lowering of immune defences \/ Autoimmune and viral diseases \/ Acne, cuts, wounds, couperoses \/ Skin ageing, wrinkles, damaged skin<\/p>\n<p>Synergies :<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To boost the immune system, combine with Niaouli essential oil.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; To accentuate the healing properties, combine with an essential oil of Rosemary verbenone.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; For a cocktail with very effective astringent properties, combine with lavender essential oil aspic.<\/p>\n<p>Yield :<\/p>\n<p>It takes about 20kg of leaves to obtain 1kg of essential oil.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is a perennial shrub with beautiful white flowers with yellow and pink hearts and with star shaped pattern around it.
