Borage Precious Oil

The Story :

Borage is an annual plant native to southern and central Europe. It is generally between 20 and 60 cm high, and is found all over the European continent. Its flowers are blue, sometimes white and more rarely pinkish.

Borage and its young shoots are sometimes used in cooking to decorate dishes. It facilitates digestion and has a very special effect.

This plant has long been used as an aphrodisiac and as a tonic, both in antiquity and in the Middle Ages. It has many nicknames, such as “sweaty grass”, “bee bread”, “beef tongue” or “saurude”.

Borage oil is particularly rich in gamma-linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid of the omega 6 family, essential for maintaining the structure of the cell membrane.
